Heat Part 1:
Heat is a type of energy, produced by the movement of molecules in matter. This energy is transferred from a hot object to a cold object. Thsi can happen by means of conduction, convection or radiation. Radiation needs no matter, it requires waves!!

Temperature is not the same as heat! Temperature is how we measure heat. Heat is a type of energy transferred from a hot object to a cold object through conduction, convection or radiation.States of matter are: solid, liquid and gas. High temperatures produce changes in the state of matter, and expansion of gases.

INVESTIGATION:Look up the definition of "THERMAL CONDUCTOR" and "THERMAL ISULATOR". Use the Internet to find 5 materials that are good thermal conductors, and 5 materials that are thermal insulators.

SITUACIÓN B: Durante la desescalada, el gobierno permite que los niños den un paseo con sus padres a horas específicas, pero siempre manteniendo la distancia de seguridad con otras personas. Peter ve a su mejor amigo en la calle y los dos se ponen a jugar al pilla-pilla. SITUACIÓN C:La mamá de Steven no sabe inglés. El maestro de inglés sigue mandando para trabajar desde casa. Steven hace las tareas en menos de un minuto, sin pensar y escribiendo cualquier cosa. La mamá piensa que su hijo se esfuerza mucho al ver la tarea terminada a diario, y le recompensa con tiempo extra para jugar video juegos.
INSTRUCCIONES: Escribe 3 párrafos (uno por cada situación) respondiendo a las preguntas. Las respuestas deben ser elaboradas, se pedirá repetir el trabajo si se dan respuestas cortas.
