UNIT 5: SOUND, LIGHT and HEAT

Hi guys!, we are going to start a new unit. This unit is related to SOUND, LIGHT and HEAT energy. We already know these types of energy, so let´s learn some more!


Look at the photos on pages 54 and 55 of your Natural Science Students Book, and think about these questions:

How do sound, light and heat energy travel? What do they have in common?

The answer is......

WAVES!  --  ¡ONDAS!

We can hear sound waves thanks to our ears.

We can see light waves thanks to our eyes.

We can feel heat energy waves thanks to our skin and the nervous system.

YOU MUST KNOW (TU DEBES SABER):

Energy travels through waves, but matter doesn´t. That is why the ball in the next video only goes up and down, but not in the direction of the wave
La energía viaja a través de las ondas, pero no la material. Esa es la razón de que la bola del siguiente vídeo sólo vaya arriba y abajo, pero no en la dirección de la onda.

LOOK at this experiment:

You can do your own waves with a rope! Try this experiment at home: take a rope, tie the rope and move the rope to see the waves.

Instrucciones para hacer el test de naturales. 

Se trata de un cuestionario accesible desde la página SOCRATIVE:

1- PINCHA AQUÍ o entre en https://socrative.com/

2- Selecciona LOGIN y, luego, STUDENT LOGING

3- Te pedirá un un nombre de sala (ROOM NAME). Introduce: BRAVO7424

4- Escribe tu nombre (con apellidos). Nada de nicknames (no apodos). 

5- HACER EL TEST. importante: DEBÉIS PRESIONAR EL BOTÓN FINISH QUIZ CUANDO QUIERAN ENTREGAR LOS RESULTADOS. Aparece en naranja, en la parte superior derecha.

OJO:

Por si a alguien se le ocurre hacerlo a medias, salir y volver a entrar para hacerlo desde el principio y así poder cambiar respuestas: Se me quedan registrados todos los intentos que realizan los alumnos, con los fallos y aciertos que hayan realizado. No tendré en cuenta la nota que saques en un segundo o tercer intento, puesto que cuentas con la ventaja de saber las preguntas.

NO HAGÁIS EL TEST CON EL LIBRO DELANTE O CON LA AYUDA DE NADIE. Esta es una oportunidad par ver qué habéis aprendido y qué dificultades tenéis. Confío en que vais a ser responsables.

EL TEST SÓLO SE REALIZA UNA VEZ, y recibirás tu puntuación al acabar. Puedes hacer las preguntas en el orden que quieras y tomar todo el tiempo que necesites para pensar. 

El test queda abierto hasta el próximo viernes 8. Tienes más de una semana para entrar y hacerlo. Si no has entregado las tareas y practicado con el quizizz, aún estás a tiempo de hacerlo para prepararte este test. 

Es muy fácil, no os preocupéis. ¡Un abrazo a mis alumnos, alumnas y sus familias!

¡SOY GENIAL!

Vamos a comenzar una nueva unidad, centrada en el conocimiento de uno mismo. El objetivo es la reflexión personal en cuanto al autococepto (cómo nos vemos a nosotros mismos), el autocontrol (nuestra capacidad para gestionar emociones y conflictos) y la responsabilidad.


Os dejo un formulario para que reflexionéis sobre cómo sois y cómo so sentís en esta situación de confinamiento obligatorio que estamos viviendo. Es una actividad muy personal, y necesito que las hagáis solos, siendo muy sinceros. Las respuestas son personales, y no se van a compartir con nadie.
